3.5.1 Definition

Nano-polymers are polymer materials where the nanostructure causes modifications of the material properties. Nano-polymers appear as nanoparticles, nanotubes, nanowires, nanofibers, nanoscale coatings or as nanostructured polymer material such as nanostructured polymer-films or surface nanostructured bulk material. Dendrimers are also included into this material class.
