3.5.9 Economic information for present products

Magnetec GmbH produces products for power electronics,[44] for electronic energy meters and products for earth leakage break circuits. The main material basis is Nanoperm®. Magnetec GmbH anticipates a turnover of about €28 million for 2008[45]. About €20 million can be estimated for Nanoperm®.

Neither Vacuumschmelze nor Ferrotec GmbH reveal data of revenues with their nanostructured products. However, in 2007 Vacuumschmelze additionally presented a new Vitroperm® 500F Core Sample Kit which - thanks to the combination of high permeability and high saturation flux density - provides the possibility to produce small size Common Mode Chokes with fewer turns that deliver outstanding high-frequency response[46]. This could be an indication that Vitroperm® is successfully sold.
