1 Reports on Scientific and Technological Developments
The ObservatoryNano produces three types of publication:
- Summary reports, which offer a broad overview of each technology area, and are updated annually.
- Focused ‘hot topic’ reports, which look in more detail at a specific technology or market and integrate both scientific and economic analysis; and
- Concise ‘Factsheets’ highlighting the most exciting developments in each sector.
Our reports go through three stages. Firstly, an interim document is drawn up by the responsible project partner, using a combination of desk research and interviews. At this point we then invite, and welcome, comments and input from the nanotechnology expert community, in addition to feedback from other members of the project consortium. You can provide information by requesting an interview with one of the partners, by making a submission via our online questionnaire, or by attending a workshop organised by the project. Finally, this data is used to produce a final version of the report.
We welcome suggestions for future ‘hot’ topics; where a nanotechnology development is likely to have a large impact either in terms of enhancing human quality of life, benefiting the European economy, or improving environmental sustainability. Please contact the relevant responsible partner if you would like to contribute.
